Re: Good Morning!
Wow www i am exhausted just reading your post. Hard to keep humidity down when one needs to live on an ark!!! Gah!!!! Hopefully things shape up better soon. We actually got no rain yesterday or last night at all! So my hay guy jumped on the opportunity and brought me the nicest green grassy 38 bales of hay on a huge transport truck. Nice having my hay in for the next year!! Picked his brain about growing ny own....his buggest suggestion was to buy a baler with a dealer close lol. So it can be fixed. Lol. So we hung out trading surgery stories-he had a knee replaced the same week i had my back done....while hubby and the tractor unloaded. Took an hour or so and now my barn smells amazing!!!
Then another 3 pullets out the door to new homes. Family with 3 kids. Wanted 3 easter eggers. So i tried to pick 3 that looked just a little different so they can tell them apart and one should be blue, one should be gree and one should be olive. Fingers crossed that i got it right. Lol
Then i discovered that the guineas decided free ranging is not for them and they have holed up with the turkeys. Okay. Not as planned but....and these ones are actually being quiet....hm. maybe my last batch of guineas were not normal? Or these are abnormal and think theyre turkeys.
Never made the feed store yesterday with hay and generally feeling crappy and sore so called them...delivery this week. Love my feed store. They are really good to me.
Harbested the garlic and cleaned it all up and it is truly beautiful!!! Cant wait to start using it!!! But have to finish last years first. Selected the ones for replanting and they will be put in sometime late august or september. Today is a weeding day and i need to clean out the cold storage room. We had a couple mice get in and wreck havok....sigh. so hubby will move the shop vac and i will clean and wash everything down with bleach and reset the traps. I say a couple mice but we have caught at least 10 so far.....gotta find out where they are getting in.
At least its not raining so far...and there was a big solar flare a few days ago and they are forecasting northern lights tonight...i plan to check it out. Have a great day everyone!!

Re: Good Morning!
Good evening!!
It was a nice morning, but rainy afternoon and evening.
Cow field is muddy, lol.
I HAVE PEACOCKS!! Thanks to a friend.... don't know if she wants to remain nameless or not... but I have wanted them for a long time!!
I also have 3 babies under a brooder, and 4 eggs under a broody!! I've wanted them for a long long time, but just hadn't gotten around to it, or the opportunity.
Soooooo I need to learn all about peacocks in a hurry!! I've ordered a book. Had an indigo card from Christmas!
Had a few calves born in the past week. One cow had twins... but the one twin had died in utero some time before. It hadn't any hair... and was 'flabby'. Weird. I would think carrying a dead calf inside would force her to kick them out. I was surprised she could push this one out. Sometimes its hard for a cow to push out a dead calf.. especially one that isn't 'firm'.. or one that is dead backwards.
Oh well. She has one little heifer calf.. and its doing very well!
Time to lock up the guinea's. They love the rain. All their 'skirts' were soaked!!
They are actually very stupid birds. Worse than turkeys.

Re: Good Morning!
They certainly are - without smell-o-vision, that is. Having had to bathe a dog after multiple sprayings, I prefer to watch them on youtube rather than live.
