Happy Canada Day to yall! We just got hit with a pretty nice Thunderstorm, so not sure if there is any cancellations. Was planning to go fishing and such but, not anymore!

Re: Happy 150th Canada Day!
Huge downpour here this morning, water standing everywhere.
Stoped by 11 am, went to Almonte for coffee, lots of people everywhere (and dogs) got a flag and by 12 it was raining again, so went home.
Right now dark clouds heading towards downtown Ottawa looks like some damp fireworks.
Used to be able to see them from our back yard at the soccer field mile up the road, but the pines are now too tall, so just hear the noise, which freaks the dog out.
Happy and dry-ish Canada day. :)

At one point here there were fireworks banging at the back of the house and thunder and lightning in front of the house, the dog let out a deep sigh, and moved in to the basement.
Watched fireworks on TV no rain and no line ups, must be getting old. :)

We had much the same scenario here, OC. We weren't sure how our recently adopted dog would react to the noise, but fortunately, he wasn't terribly fazed by any of it. I was happy to watch the celebrations from the comfort of home, snuggled up with our freshly groomed Spoo.

Re: Happy 150th Canada Day!
We ended up going to see the fireworks last night at the hall, but we probably should have just stayed home and watched it on tv. It would have been more enjoyable . We got there early to get a good parking spot, so we could sit in our vehicle if we had to. We did bring chairs, but we never did use them. The black flies and noseeums were bad, even sitting in our vehicle. It was damp and not good for these arthritic bones. I took pictures of the kids playing games. All the kids there seemed to have more fun, some running through the puddles. I did videotape the fireworks, so my family can see them at a later time, but had to endure the mosquitos landing on my hands, fingers and face. Man, was I ever glad when it was over and we got to go home. It was nice and warm and comfortable. Oh well, I wanted to celebrate Canada Day 150 years!
