Good morning,
Foggy and water standing everywhere, if this continues we will need a machete to get out of the house.
Never thought I would ever even think that, but frankly it's just too green.
July first if the sun ever comes out is going to be celebrated by mosquitoes and ticks and we are going to be sitting inside admiring all the greenery.
Darn, another rant. Of to take the dog for a walk, take the tallest boots I have and spend the rest of the morning looking for ticks on the dog.

BTW ross, no need to bother going fishing here in Eastern Ontario along Ottawa river Valley, we just pick fish out of puddles.

Carp? Carp are a european fish introduced here by foolish europeans thinking it was a good idea. They have messed up an ecosystem they don't belong in (along with numerous other invaders) and have messed up spawning beds for other fish. They are considered such a pest that there are tournaments for "bow and arrow" fishing and the fish get a couple cents a pound and are ground into cat food.

That said its a nasty death to drown (fish drown in air) and there's something wrong in killing an animal for (only) sport. It is said you can judge a society based on how its animals are treated.

Aye; Jan is on the ball. This is exactly what we felt in Cancun in October a few years ago. (No crowds, 2 days solid rain, 2 days of sun, and the other three in between: not to mention $950 for a week all inclusive vs $2000 in high season, plus the resort was maybe at 20% capacity. I wouldn't want to be there at high season.)

And it was hot and clammy like today.

So we bought some rum and tequila with mojitos in mind.
