Yes Sherman was Happy's dad! Totally different Combs though. No clue where Happy got that bacon strip from (as my niece called it)

Re: Anybody want some future little broodies?
I have to try to get a pic of this because it's adorable. Little has returned to laying eggs and Sherman the rooster is encouraging her to hide them and go broody again immediately
She has distanced herself a bit from her Baby (doesn't chase other hens away...doesn't find her food...doesn't call for her to stay close) but they are still together 90% of the time and still sleep together apart from the rest of the flock.
Yesterday I found Little's Baby and Sherman laying beside each other patiently waiting on Little to lay her egg (inside the shavings bag because Sherman seems to think that's a great place to build a nest lol)
I actually think Little and Baby are turning into best friends. Little will sneak away from her occasionally and Baby will just go find Sherman and hang out with him. It's very cute.

Little has taught this girl to be a big suck. It's one thing to have a tiny bantam fly at you to be held...I have to be on my toes when Baby does it!

That's too funny! Little has raised her own weather shelter!

Back to the original thread, I got a couple of these hens from Nome, they are really nice to have as an addition to the herd. Fitting in nicely. Thanks.
