And welcome!
Easy for me to say, cause I'll be at work.

Quoted from Bayvista. "Muddled thru chores... got a whopping cold, settled in during the night. Could 'feel' it creeping up on me yesterday. Gary brought it home. Geez. I DESPISE being sick. I know NO one likes it...."
"I sure hope I get there Friday. Got LOTS of turkey eggs for you. Hopefully most are fertile. I took 12 out of the bator that weren't.... but then cracked one of the red palms.. and its fertile all right. Hmmm, maybe its a spotty fertility issue. She IS old. I even asked Gary if he would drive me out, I can languish in the passenger side... if NO one else comes with me.. hint hint... you two know who you are. "
Ummmmmmmm let me clarify something here
You are sick and want me to come near you!?
What is it you do when people around you are sick!?????
Lol. You know I will come with you

Yes there was a video of my GSD doing a rabbit impersonation in snow that was up to her head :) but I tried uploading it a couple of times then gave up.
I and someone else on here thought that Quebec would escape the snow but we got hit as well.

I have 5 turkey hens. 2 days ago i got my first egg of the year. Yesterday i got 4 eggs!!!!! Whoohoo!!!!!! 4 of these girls are not quite a year old. The other is almost 2. So eggciting!!
Nice and sunny so far today. Nice change from the wind and lake effect snow-which i see is in the forecast again tonight. Oh yay.
truck is in for service today. Thanks hubby!! Keeps the warranty alive. Today i definitely feel like i could start back to work in a week or so. These are the dangerous days for me. I feel great and have to be very careful that i dont end up having to lay down for the next two days because i am an idiot and do something stupid. I can actually see myself riding the horses again someday!!! (Definitely not today!!)
Turning the incubator on tonight, full load of 288 eggs....mine to replenish the ranks and some for bvf and some for another friend. No point running it half empty!! Then tonight is hay moving for the shaggy field hippos. But first, caffeine!!!!

Good morning
Nice and sunny here today just wish it was warmer and less snow.
It is road trip day!! Heading to St. Cesaire quebec to pick up a few turkeys. With all the crap going around eastern ontario not the best time but was planned over a month ago.
Hard to disinfect my transport cages in the cold so I bought some moving boxes and sprayed my tires with virkon before I left my driveway.
Well all fueled up time to hit road again.
Later

Have a fun safe trip! Moving boxes are great for transporting birds, I kept all the uhaul boxes after we moved just for such a thing. That was also how I moved all the birds here except for the geese and turkeys. Use lots of shavings in them and you can get more than 1 use out of them and if they are a mess just burn them.
Have a great day everyone!!!

Good morning!
Happy and safe travels Jim, bring us something nice :)
Beautiful sunny day here, Happy St. Patrick's Day to all that are celebrating today :)
Made my first attempt at making Biscotti last night, will be exercising my willpower for the rest of the day not to eat them all at one sitting.
Very jealous of Wlady's full incubator, and all the expectations and excitement of things to come.
Have a safe one!

When i moved my mom into an apartment we overestimated the boxes needed by about 20 so the last couple of years anyone getting chickens from me has gotten them in misprinted surplus KFC gravy boxes. Lol they are the perfect size for 2 hens or one rooster. And a wonderful conversation piece lol
