Good Morning!
Happy March Break, Jim! Especially if you do not have to spend it marking or doing report cards. I remember those days!

Good Morning!
I think we all wish you were our high school teacher.JimW wrote:QR_BBPOST In my Outdoor Studies class every second year we run a 2 day chainsaw course, we rent Stihl saws, usually one with a 16" bar and one with an 18 or 20" bar. The all grade 11 and 12 girls in the class, including a few petite sized girls, have no problem handling the 16" saw, and most are fine with the 18" as well.

Good Morning!
yep, i totally wish you had been one of my highschool teachers!!!! real life! and doing something awesome! maple glazed salmon!!! mmmmmm
wow, it's snowing like crazy here right now. think i will stay inside. LOL.
so the delivery guys got the bed in, and the old one out, without lifting off or being blown away! and the bed is amazing!!! the last two mornings i have gotten up only half broken, not totally broken! YES! things are really feeling better the last few days, so i am trying not to overdo it. only 2 weeks until my follow up appointment, and then i'm sure they'll be releasing me to go back to work. and hopefully allowing me to drive again! the railroad tracks are still very painful to bump over in the car as a passenger, but being in the car is much easier now! we went out for dinner to strathroy last night, about 30 minutes one way from here, and the drive was fine, and sitting was fine too at the restaurant! yay! getting better.
snowing like mad out there right now! looks like squalls coming in off lake huron. martin tacked up the one piece of flashing that was still mostly attached to the house this morning. that wind is brutally cold! we'll do the rest some other time when it's a bit less windy, and warmer!
looks like the weather is good for maple syrup the next few days! hopefully the run continues! i know our trees are just starting to bud here, down near chatham they're in bud, swelled up and red....yesterday i had 2 crocusses in bloom in my one garden beside the house! daffodils aren't far off!!!!
hope everyone has a great day! stay warm!

Good Morning!
That's awesome Jim, actually for safety sakes those types of skills should be shown in schools. How many times have we heard of a young person using a saw and not knowing the dangers and then kickback, resulting in severe injuries or death.JimW wrote:QR_BBPOST In my Outdoor Studies class every second year we run a 2 day chainsaw course, we rent Stihl saws, usually one with a 16" bar and one with an 18 or 20" bar. Yippee!!! It March Break, handed out preliminary reports on Thursday so no report cards to write and only a couple hours of marking to do!!! My kids are going to visit my sister in Toronto for a few days and my wife is working most of next week!!! I love my family, but love some alone time once in awhile to putter around.
Not a fan of the cold weather coming this weekend, though.

Good Morning!
Yes she did! Well so far since it's not over yet :/ She had a rough moult' in November, and I put her in the (heated) milk house where she's been ever since, keeping the grow-outs in line. She is SO annoyed by them it's amusing. She finally lost her red zip tie. She gave me 2 eggs in February to my surprise, but nothing since. I'm hopeful she'll brood more chicks for me this year. She's such a good mum.Killerbunny wrote:QR_BBPOST Hey Jan just wondering if Little Mama made it through the winter?
