Just in from the Bowmanville Holt Rd overpass at the Highway of Heroes. Drove one of the pumpers which provided a wind break for some of the folks who had gathered there to pay there respects to Major Scott Foote and his family. By all accounts he was a real good man and his loss must be incredibly difficult for his family and friends.

Good morning, I think...
Started the day of by sending the dog (lab) out the front door, where he leapt off the porch and to his great surprise promptly disappeared in a 3 foot deep drift of snow.
After I explained that was all he was getting in a manner of walk today until the man with the scary machine comes, he did couple of hesitant circles and hopefully did what needed to be done, can't tell because I couldn't see his legs.
The snow is still blowing around, not much on the driveway but all the tree trunks seem to be covered by the snow that came down pretty much horizontally yesterday and the house must have worked as a buffer, where most of the snow landed.
I am really hoping this doesn't stay, still have couple things to secure before actual winter. ;)
Have a safe one!

Killing time in L&D with Chantelle. Hopefully things go smoothly and we have a healthy baby and Momma soon.

OK folks - I'm officially done with winter. Can we please move to spring now? The birds agree!

Crossing fingers for you Dean!!!!!! Hope everything goes great and mom and baby are healthy and happy when it's all said and done!!!!

barely any snow stayed at my place, i think it mostly blew straight through into the lake! still windy though, uncomfortably windy. Lost a hen yesterday, a hard moult hen....sigh. she also had an egg binding incident not too long ago....wasted to a shadow as of yesterday noon so i did the "right" thing...the hard thing. sigh.

Hoping for a hagersville trip this weekend. so if anyone wants any mutt roosters, or purebred black tailed buff marans, barred rocks or wheaten marans roosters, tell me NOW because right now they're free. On friday at hagersville you will need to bid on them....

panic at work....told my boss and now everything is all in a huge panic because we are trying to move the lab and stuff. It will get done...really....somehow! eeeep!!!!!
