Good Morning!
I'm with OC. i feel just a bit nauseous this morning
so, now we have teenaged drama teacher (okay, not teenaged....) running canada, and Mr. president elect Trump will be running the USA. I am totally afraid to check my pension investments because...well, i heard the canadian dollar dropped a whole cent in 4 hours when markets opened this morning.
I'll be writing my family in the USA today to see if they want to move after my dad is finished chemo and surgery.....
i also heard that the canadian immigration site crashed last night right after the election results were announced.
All i can say is the president generally needs the senate's approval, so hopefully there are calmer heads in the senate....um. OH BOY HANG ON FOLKS, HERE WE GO! and I'm not even in the USA!
I can't help but think they took such a wonderful step forward with Obama, and now we are stepping back 50 years....
what on earth could possibly go wrong??! LOL.
in better news, my friend with the coop of coccidiosis did not lose any more birds, and when i was there last night all the birds were much less ruffled and listless and actually interested in the "new person" at the door....so that's a good sign. They're not out of the woods yet, another week at least of treatment needed. But at least it looks like so far the deaths have stopped. so that's a good thing.
we've had a truck parked obviously hunters, in our ravine the last couple of days....don't recognize it, but today they were just getting ready to get to the woods when i was going by and i stopped to wish them luck. it's a dad with his young (maybe 9 years old) daughter. They said they saw some nice does yesterday, but only have an antlered tag this year. Nice to see. Our neighbour gave them access up into his property, which we share a property line, so they are hunting his side of the ravine. She was just babbling on about yesterday's hunt, and how it was really dark and really early in the morning and hard to walk in quietly in the dark because daddy won't turn on a flashlight. LOL. Nice to see the kids getting out too.
looks like hubby will only get out on the weekend. that sucks....but i have a great feeling, and he'll be successful!!!!
alright, onwards with the day. first order is to see how my dad is doing (he will probably not have slept at all last night because he is very very well, not trump...not really clinton either but definitely not trump....), and then find some caffeine. and then paperwork!! whoohoo! have a great one everyone!

Good Morning!
Old Chinese curse, "May you live in interesting times."
As a "salesman", and having studied professional sales methods, Trump just made one of the biggest sales of history....himself as president. Politicians are sales people, as are laywers (my client is innocent!), and teachers (selling ideas) and religious leaders (my path is worth following) and many others (old saying; if you have nothing to sell...check your pulse as you're probably dead).
The question is: will he be a lemon (like my old Ford Tempo) or reasonable? When will the buyers remorse set in?
The best Salesman of all time: Christophoro Columbo (he was Italian) "hey Queenie...the world isn't flat. Gimme some ships and men and I'll bring back the spices of India!"

Good Morning!
Maybe he'll just become another lieing polititian. Obama said he was gonna renegotiate NAFTA when when he was running for president . He didn't , one of the many things he didn't . Glad were on the "up to the trough" side of our life (gov pensions) which we paid 50 pluse years into & not workin & given it to someone else . No investments cept our house which Kathy Windmills policy's has already devalued , so don't have to worry bout that tho I see getting crowded at the food banks .As long as I can still hunt & raise some meat & veggies altho there trying to make me non farm . Grandfather clause we' ll do ok . Luck to all .Now get to work

Good Morning!
I don't know if anybody watched the Documentary on Obama's Presidency, but I remember somebody quoting his on saying
"I am the President of United States and I can't do anything "!
Let's hope the same goes for Trump.

Good Morning!
well, good thing is that a lot of trumps own party doesn't support him, so he might have "fun" trying to get anything done too.
i just cringe to think of him speaking to the UN or at some leaders convention. LOL. as politically "incorrect" as possible....a lot of jaws needing to be picked up off the floor. if nothing else, we should have some entertaining newspaper articles to read (although he did say he wants to regulate what they can publish better....).

Good Morning!
It's so ironic that a couple of years ago when the NDP was leading in Canadian polls and Justin was third, and then Trump came onto the scene in the states, we were laughing one day during work at the thought of Trump and Trudeau having to sit down together in a meeting because at the time it seemed not possible.
The radio was playing a clip from an old Simpson's episode (back when Bush was still in) where in the future Trump is president, the writers at the time wanted to use a name that was so outrageous they thought it was hilariously beyond belief.... oops.

Good Morning!
The truth is I cringe when Trudeau speaks, I vision my self bitch slapping him to get his words to run smoothly; like he's a broken record that needs a hammer to the wheel. Between Wynn & Trudeau, not only will they bankrupt the middle class and younger persons and small-medium businesses in record time, the liberals have potential to bankrupt the country at this rate.
I'm waiting on Killarys speech. I'm pretty sure she was the most shocked and really, shame on her for pulling actors, musicians and high profile persons to try and influence the blue collar, hard working average joe/Jane blow. That backfired with a punch to the gut.
Even Obama backed the Hilary train wreck. Very interesting. Obama has said he won't leave office if Trump is voted in, but I'll just put that in the same basket with his other 'said it, didn't mean it' crap.
Don't get me wrong, I am not pro-trump. No freaking way. But the turn of events sure is interesting.
Looking for humour? Check out Trudeaus congratulatory speech to Trump. Hopefully that hits a skit on Saturday night live!! Baaahaaaa!

Good Morning!
We live in a time of stress: and food security (climate change) and overpopulation is the root of the problems (and the trade deals don't help). Not to mention the robots that put people out of work. When people don't have food they blame their gov't and then make war on their neighbour. Then they leave and look for greener pastures (refugees). In times of stress its easy for authoritarian, protectionist, strongman type leaders to takeover. This is true today in Egypt, the Phillipinnes, Turkey and now the USA. (Hitler got voted into power in the 1930's)
When there's a problem you need to blame somebody (the "other" be they Jews, immigrants, etc.)
We ain't seen nuthin yet.
