I found nothing as well @ross but when I returned some medicine to the vet for proper disposal they mentioned if I wanted to keep it because now the procedures would be different as of December. I kept it in case someone needs it, but I couldn't find anything about what they were suggesting. I see the FDA has rules coming into effect for December but can't see where that affects this side of the border.

My vet also told me that things like amprol and tetracycline etc will be going "out of circulation" and need a script in the near future.....i haven't seen it posted anywhere, but I'm pretty sure they'll end up doing it.

another nice sunrise out there this morning. we got some more work done on the pool, next up is actually installing the cover! it's nice having breathable air in the house though! not so dry that we are zapping all the animals LOL. Loving the cooler weather, the horses are starting to get shaggy already.....treated all the birds for mites yesterday, found a few on the one boy we processed, so they all got treated. couldn't process 11 of the boys because they seem to have taken to sleeping in the rafters of the barn. I hope that changes and they go back to the coop now that the bullies are gone. :big chicken:

found a great way to dry out my hands! oregano and mint LOL. still have to dry the mint, but the oregano is finished and dry and in my spice cupboard for the winter cooking. Had a hard hard frost 2 nights ago and again last night, so that should nuke the tomatoes (finally), so i'll run around and pull out the stakes etc this coming weekend. probably would have lost the rest of the pepper plants too....still have some brussel sprouts to harvest. gotta get the garlic in!!!!! maybe this coming weekend.

svart hona update: only 1 is developing. 2 with blood rings. the rest were totally clear, so i opened 2 up and neither were fertilized. so i have the other 9 that will be picked up tonight by their owner and opened....see if she can get the infertiles replaced.....so a little bit disappointing, but there's 1 that is looking okay.....fingers crossed. hard to start a breeding program with just one though.

NEED COFFEE....or a nap....and i've only been up 3 hours....geez..... :sFun_mornincoffee:

hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning!
The moose stew was fabulous, just as Gill and Kathy predicted, what a treat!
Dug up the rest of the Pontiac potatoes, at least I think thats what I planted, some more then 2 LB, DH was thrilled, until I explained he would be the one peeling them ;)
Time to start putting away outdoor furniture, seems like we just brought it out.
Have a sunny one!

Good Morning, I am not on the forum much these days but do try and catch up when I get the chance. I am up to my eyebrows in chickens and roosters and need to dispatch with the roosters soon, hopefully this week. Baron Renfrew we have purchased about $7000 in hay and hope that will do us for the winter, we have 5 yearlings (almost 10/11 months old) sold and going to the slaughter house end of the month that will ease things around the feeder. We will be combining the Sunflowers in about a week or so and have started the popcorn. The drought has been hard on yields but we will have some to keep the stores and customers happy.

I agree to many folks shooting drugs in critters having no idea what there treating ( no vet check) & how much to use including off label use & withdraw before using meat or eggs . .

WLL,

That's too bad about the Svart honas, I only ended up with 1 Svart chick from 22 eggs, I believe. I got a second chick, now I have 2 Svart hona pullets, hoping to find a roo.
