Got my in town chores done and back home. Surprisingly every stop I made was in and out, no crowds or line up's!!

Hubby has the house loaded with firewood and I will be going out to the barn to make sure the chooks are loaded up in case I can't get to the barn in the morning. Don't need to fall 3 weeks after surgery!!

By the way I like the new smilies, thanks Martin & Kathy!! :castaway: :Shark:

Oh Greeaat! The parts store is closed... Boxing day? I got the tractor home, of course my brother used it till it was broken, engine sputtering. So I change the fuel filters, bloody pain, glass bowls and rubber rings. I go out to hookup the snowblower... No fuel? Glass bowl broke, full tank of diesel gone. I go and get a bowl, $25 later, so I finally get around to fixing it... Wrong part! And stores closed today... At least its not minus 30!

snowing and raining and freezing rain all at the same time here. started about an hour ago....windy windy too.
nice working in the barn.....even nicer inside in front of the woodstove LOL

we put a battery trickle charger on the tractor in the winter. makes it much easier to get that beast started...and when we built the barn we had the electricians put an outlet right next to the tractor for the block heater plug in. makes life much easier.

i like what my hubby is doing right now. bottling beer. seems like a good thing to do today. think i'm going to find my book and maybe have nap while reading it. we now have ice pellets pinging off the windows. look like styrofoam balls LOL if it's not there ross, it will be soon!

Winter is here. Hope it doesn't drag on into Spring too much, since it (winter) took it's time getting here. No complaints, at all. Just hope we don't pay for it down the road.
I have to say, today when I was properly clothed for the temps, I quite enjoyed it, until "other stuff" showed its face and needed to be attended to.
