Oh yes, eating and drinking is not a problem. I just went and locked everyone up. He made it into the coop tonight which is a bit of a jump. He hasn't made it to bed without my help since this happened. This is definitely A step in the right direction.
New feathers coming in at same time. Which I understand can be a bit hard on them as well. He is now a she. The quaking has started. Pretty excited about that. She is a blue Swedish.

How much benedryl do you have him on Sandy?
We had our 100+ rotti on 6 pills a day ( 300mg) for itchy skin every winter.
Vet said it was better for him than Predisone
Wondering if there is someone who knows how much he can handle for his weight?
I agree that it is a good sign that he is drinking & eating.
With that many stings he would have swollen everything as well as itchy hurt.
Glad the muscovies are giving him some moral support!

I just drop in 2 drops from the syringe dropper during the day and 3 at night so he sleeps better (hopefully)
He's just a baby so I don't want to give him too much.

Very glad he seems to be doing better! I'm sure he is sore and itchy, but that will pass. He may have some muscle weakness from the alkaline poison, but that should pass as well. What's his look like? That will tell you if his organs are under a lot of stress. Ducks are tough!! And yes, muscovies are excellent mothers. At least, I've never had one that wasn't, though I'm sure they exist.

I'll have to watch for her and update.
This morning she is quacking up a storm, stability is definitely improved. I am not just seeing what I want this time. She came out with the flock, not behind the flock and did the morning jaunt across the grass with the wings Open and flapping. Morning yoga is what I call it. So very, very nice to see!!
After it stops pouring rain, she'll get another ACV bath and it's in their waterers as per usual.
Thank you to everyone for support and suggestions. PTO is simply the best.
