Good Morning!
Nope, she didn't get a treat. I was in high speed mode. Keys here, keys there, load up. Definitely not convenient. Today I am prepared.
Hope no one shows up for tea hahah! Kitchen table is in use.

Good Morning!
awesome puppydog! yay! learning.....and once she's big enough the yotes won't mess with her i'm sure! yeah, keep that shotgun handy and in reach....good luck! they're hard to see when they aren't moving aren't they?
morning! raining! like holy crap raining! hopefully there's no tornados...although i'm surprised, there's zero wind in london right now so hopefully no tornados! at least the rain is soaking in. opened the grow out coop and the boys looked out and ran back in. bunch o' wusses.
picked tomatoes last night for marinara making. they're soooooo yummy! baskets full. LOL. had both kitchen sinks full to the brim, now there's 3 pots full to the brim with cut up tomatoes ready for cooking. need to add an onion to each, and some spices and parsley (still have to pick that) and oregano (also needing to be picked)....then cook down forever and freeze. yummy sauce for all winter.
had to de-spur a rooster yesterday. hate doing that. it's just gross. i can do bumblefoot way easier.....he split his spur a while ago, and had 2 growing on his left leg. the one straight out and small, and the other curled down and was actually pushing on his toes when he walked. so i tried just twisting it off, but nope, not strong enough (or i'm wussy). so i did the baked potato thing. potato in the microwave 2.5 minutes and then over the spur and it popped right off! yay! he's doing GREAT this morning and his toes even look better. he's jumping up and down off the roost and chasing the girls around. no blood, no fuss, no muss. yay! i really do hate doing that though....and thankfully he's the first one that's needed it in a long long long time!
hope everyone has an awesome day! i want to just go and stand in the rain.....lol sooooooo nice!

Good Morning!
Good puppy. It's awesome watching the bred in instincts of a puppy emerge. Whether it's a hound figuring out scent trails, a livestock guardian dog figuring out threats to livestock or a guard dog recognizing threats to their humans. Always interesting and rewarding.
So we're finally getting a genuine, sinking into the ground, rainfall. Could have used this numerous times over the last 3 months, as it's too late to help most crops around here right now, but hopefully we can get some more regular rainfall in the coming months so that plants and trees aren't so stressed going into the winter. It's also a nice break from the constant heat and humidity of the last few weeks. Pregnant Momma is 5 months along now and has been suffering recently. She looked like she was going to melt at the track last week.
If anyone is interested in some cheap to free Toulouse geese, Indian runners, Crested's (and crosses of the two), as well as barnyard mixed standard and banty's, I have an acquaintance looking to unload a lot of birds. Near Stoufville. She has an ad on Kijiji right now for the geese.
Have a good one y'all!

The longer I keep chickens, the more I like ducks.

Good Morning!
Copied mine onto the computer as wave files for the future and then did a conversion to mp3 files and then used the sync function onto the player.
