Ha haa haaaa! Colleen good call.
poor little chippie I wonder what happened. I wonder if the second tail is all that's showing of a parasitic twin..... maybe there's a whole other chipmunk inside.

we had a squirrel like that running around when i was a kid from a "got caught by the end of the tail by the dog but managed to get away", the skin on the tail was stripped a bit but healed into what looked like 2 tails like this one....
probably a pretty lucky chipmunk!

Ww also have another one with only one eye. But it's camera shy and not as bold. Not sure what is happening to them
There are a lot here this year and I feel like I'm feeding chipmunks instead of chickens!
Maybe the chickens are getting them back for eating their food

i sure hope those aren't banjos i hear playing....LOL. (thinking of a very disturbing road i found in california one day where i swear everyone on that road was related, possibly a little too closely....)

you aren't the only one i've heard saying they're overrun with chipmunks or red squirrels! i do believe that BVF was complaining about the chipmunks and red squirrels around her place too! we have a plethora of chipmunks....but the cats are enjoying the challenge....
