If ony your tax bill doesn't exist! I keep thinking of one of the Harry Potter movies : the house in between houses.

One day of work left until summer holidays. More raccoons out tonight could not see them but heard them earlier.

I bid on a few "special" chicks in an on-line auction kind of on a whim and won, I was not expecting to win. So I will have some chicks coming from Winnipeg probably next week some time when I get back from a few days of fishing. Time to make some more brooder space.

Good Morning!

Well has been quite the week to pre-wedding on Saturday. Have a bunch of running around to do today because everything is closed tomorrow :sAng_banghead: Set up at the barn, yes the wedding is in a barn and thankfully not too far from home (10 minutes) tomorrow, so lots to do then as well.

Eventful night last night as we were awoken to our RottiX barking her head off at 3:00am, so hubby hears something scratching loudly by the barn. Here there is a raccoon that had scaled the barn wall and was hanging on the wall up in the corner by the roof overhang trying to get in at my chickens. So here comes the best part, hubby goes out in his T-shirt, tighty whitey's and crocks and starts chucking rocks at it??? Yah like that's going to do anything LOL Then he says well better get the gun. Meanwhile while he is getting the gun the dog is still barking her head off insanely, then comes out one shot got it then he says "there now we can all get some sleep". Oh if I only had a video camera..........I am surprised with all the commotion that one of the neighbors didn't call............ :hide:

Sounds like quite the night Paula
Glad he got it because if not it would be back
They are cute but quite a few around our area are sick with that distemper
They sure can make a mess of things too
Don't wear yourself out too much for the big day
