Good Morning!
It's amazing the way they chat to the babies and have different sounds isn't it. I may try to give my girl these 2 if they seem strong. Only 3 days difference.

Good Morning!
That's impressive KB. Hopefully they're all strong survivors!!
I just wanted to start off my post with I'M GETTING A PUPPY!
It actually isn't the puppy period I'm really looking forward to, it's approx 2 yrs and older. Puppies are a lot of work and I'm very thorough when training a German Shepherd. But honestly, I love the bond that is built through puppy and teenage years. I hope this girl likes to swim too, it's such a great (easy) way to drain their energy. Off to the lake and swim waaaayyyy out.
What a beautiful, cool, breezy morning. I could cope with summer so much easier if every day was like this.
I'm still debating on attending the picnic. It's such a long drive for an evening. It would take approx. 6-7 hours - with much needed stops to stretch etc. But I'd love to meet so many of the attendees. Decisions decisions.
My chicks are growing like weeds! I can't believe how big some of them are getting. One of them doinked silkie mom on the head this morning, (95% are bigger than her now) but she's one feisty mom. She went after the chick and jumped on him. (Well as good as a silkie can jump) and they chick took off in the opposite direction. She really is impressive. She calls and calls at the pen gate for everyone to go to bed. She knows when they are all in and when they aren't. Umm, there's a lot of chicks, 20ish? I should probably count them one day.
Off to the dentist to get some work done today. Fun times. Ugh!!! Hate it. Big needles in your mouth. Shutter at the thought of it.
My garden is doing spectacular! Loving these raised beds.
Well, I'm off to post some questionable humour. Hope y'all have a great day.

Good Morning!
Good morning!
Finally rain here, Mallard's nesting by the creek, yellow Flag irises blooming next to them, the whole thing has the look of a painting by one of the old Dutch masters.
I could sit there and watch for ever, accept the mosquitos would eat me alive.
Windy and coolish but partially sunny, so good time to prepare barn brooder for the chicks.
As I am looking at this weeks forecast, I see that the nights will get cool when they go out. Darn.
Old Murphy strikes again! Set up the incubator on Wednesday, put in cup of water, brought the temp and humidity to perfection, put in eggs, next morning humidity in the house 70% found me sopping water out of the incubator with a paper towel, took two days to bring it down to 44%. Now running completely dry, still at 42%
This is a really difficult spring to keep the incubator steady.
Have a warm one! :)
