A bat and a ball cost $1.10. The bat costs one dollar more than the ball. How much does the ball cost?

Is this is Ontario with 13% HST? ;-P because anything 1$ or over needs to have HST billed on it.....

This is a black market sale! LOL this time the government gets cut out of the equation.
I didn't think and thought well that's easy $1.00. LOL but that would make the bat 90cents more than a 10Cent ball. If the ball is 5 cents, the bat costs $1.05 or one dollar more than the ball.
Of course the smart kid on the block would average the two prices, sell each separately to the same other kid using separate transactions, write off the cost of bookkeeping, transportation , vehicle and gas to get to the ball diamond, create twice the paperwork but the government would be legally cut out of the transaction. PPPffffttttt.
