a few more....... Hint: every size counts. As long as each of the sides have equal length, it's a square.

Hmmm... just trying to figure out how the @#$% I got a negative number for #I .............. careless! oops.
So I guess any area for any lengths of sides of a triangle is possible as long as it's a positive number, although you'd have some pretty flat triangles! Right? No? makes sense? :dunno: LOL
OK admin I'm going to need to see a mathematical proof of that! :coffe-news:

The triangle thing only gives 2 side lengths. The angle between them can be anything up to 90 degrees. 90 degrees gives you 1/2 of 48 = 24 (basically a rectangle in half is your triangle). But as the angle approaches 0 degrees the area approaches 0. 0 is an unrealistic area so any number above 0 but below 24 can be an answer because the length of the third side is not given and depends directly on the angle between the 2 known lines.

I've got a new one that stumped me.

You have two differently long fuses(needed to get fireworks going) that burn exactly 1 minute each. How can you determine 45 seconds (pretty accurately) with them? Rules: You are not allowed to fold them in halve, use a ruler or otherwise mark or cut them.
