Good Morning!
Well moved my almost two week old chicks to the outside brooder in the shed. Had to get them out of the basement before the real dust started to get kicked up and the stink!! Amazing how much 23 little chicks can
!!
Starting going through my gardens to see what I could divide and remove some perennials to donate to the upcoming St. George Garden Club plant sale. I usually have a lot potted up already but the beginning of April was so cold and snowy/wet and now the grass is growing like crazy........LOL
Setting my last batch of eggs this weekend. I am being good only 2 hatches this year!!!!

Good Morning!
Shirley congrats on the calf and the chicks!
At Ricks place in Dunville we were out around Xmas time and Rick got a call on his cell phone that a snowmobile knocked off his gas pipe and it was just a whistling blowing straight up when we got home. It was natural gas high pressure line!
Did they stop and let anyone know. Nope
Do ya think they knew they hit something??????
Ignorant!!!!
Theses few give all snowmobilers A bad name
Paula I know what you are saying about the chicks. I only have 11 and had them in the spare bedroom!!!!
They have already moved out to Ricks shop
Only trouble now is I can't go visit first thing in the morning with my coffee Soon though when it gets a bit warmer in the mornings
I'm going to set my second batch on Friday night. Hoping for better luck than 11 chicks out of 53 eggs!

Good Morning!
Good morning everyone
WOW FOGGY! like holy moly i'm the only person in the entire world foggy. LOL.
I can say, luckily, being so far off the beaten path that we don't have issues with snowmobilers near the house. but our other property, we need to install our 911 sign, or pick it up, or unbend the post, every single spring because some yahoo has run it over. quite irritating.
this weekend the 20 fuzzybutts in the basement move out to one of the coops. they're outgrowing the space. some aren't that little anymore!
when cayle was over earlier this week with hatching eggs, he looked at my dark cornish and said "hm, you have 2 girls and a boy in there" to my littler ones that i hatched in february, sure enough i could tell last night! his comb is coming in red now! YAY! another boy!!!! whoohoo! so now i have 4 girls and 2 boys, and 4 more in the brooder in the basement. YAY! looks like i might actually be getting somewhere with these birds. LOL. SLOWLY. painfully.
glad it's friday. soon it's the weekend. sooo much to do this weekend! gotta get the shotgun out and see if that's even possible. if not, then it'll be crossbow...and if that's not possible then i'll go out and watch them walk by and take photos because sitting under a tree is soooo relaxing!
got plants moved last night out to the greenhouse, now i need to find my watering can...hm....no clue where that is. my asparagus hasn't started coming up YET, but it can't be too much longer in coming! need to till the garden, get the mulch down (old rotted up hay bales for that), and then get the lettuce and spinach planted. then flats of seeds to get started because i'm so far behind!
Hope everyone has a wonderful friday!

Good Morning!
Picking up my filberts and some other trees/shrubs tomorrow. 20 holes all ready for them! It was a slow job because of chicken hazards LOL, one girl stuck her head under the spade but is OK! I should also add it was really fun taking the saddles off of the broody turkeys but they were quite good about it under the circumstances.

Good Morning!
It was foggy here too. Still is off in the distance, but getting brighter. Misty too. Warm tho. NO wind, and 13C when I went out at 6:30am.
Yesterday was kind of a pissy day. Ended up going to Costco for 3 fruit trees (and will plant them today to honour Earth Day), and Gary got his new glasses. Sawyer and Jess went with us. Sawyer loves cherries, he watched a Max and Ruby show, and Granny made cherry scones. He turned to me and said "... Grandma... I love cherries'. So, I told him we would buy and plant a tree. Stupid tags on the trees were confusing. One tag said self-fertile... and the other tag said 'needs a pollinator'. So... bought two. They are dwarf trees, so hopefully they will survive. I will put them in their backyard. Sawyer will help plant them.
I planted the strawberries the other day, when he was in daycare. Later that afternoon, when he got home, I told him I planted the strawberries. He had his mom take him up to see the patch, and was very disappointed, he was expecting to see actual strawberries on the ground, lol. So cute.
Got home and went to a Dr. appointment. For me. Had to drag Sawyer along. My babysit day. Came home, with 3 scripts... and knew a trip back to Costco was necessary. I couldn't go today, because I NEEDED one of those scripts immediately. Such a pain. Did the bus... and was going to take SAwyer with me to take Brown--nose to the vet. Day before yesterday, his eye was closed. Yesterday morning, I put Sawyers pink-eye drops in. His whole face was swelled, nose/forehead/cheek, by afternon. Hes still there. Bastard clawed me in 8 places, when I tried to drag him out of the carrier. He was already growling inside... hes like a dog. He KNEW WHERE HE WAS, and hated it. They gave him pain meds, and another shot of long acting antibiotic. They were going to sedate him, and look at what was going on with the eye. When I tried to put drops in, I couldn't even see the eyeball. Anyhow, Dave was home, so Sawyer stayed home, yay, lol.
Ya ya... going to be big bucks for a barn cat.... but I treat all my animals the same. They are fixed, shotted... and revolutionalized, lol. He doesn't hunt whatsoever, and is 12 years old...but normally the friendliest loveable cat. Just not to the person who drags him to the vet, lol.
Took some chicks to the barn yesterday. Need to clean the incubator, its got one ripe egg that never hatched in there, and other goo. Clean the brooder out in there also... and vacuum all the shavings. My spare bedroom looks like a barn.
Litter box cleaning, bathrooms.... porch... cleaning today. Place is a hell hole. Course, the sun is coming out... that will make me want to be outside now, when it was supposed to be raining today.
Heres a picture of Sawyer on the bus yesterday, getting ready to head out. Hes such a good boy!
