Only when they try to fly but that's the reason you do it then they quit trying .its like having one short leg .

Ross-my bronze girl had one wing trimmed. Found her on top of the barn. Lol didnt change a thing here so i quit trimming lol.

Think I'll try it on the young growers if I hatch some. Then they can range a bit more.

Make it shorter Kathy ... & /or more feathers , can't fly but can still hop . Plane can't fly on one wing . I train cockatiels also that way . Luck

Can also pinion flight wind when young . Do all the time on Canada geese , swans ,small ducks etc if no roof on pen / pond . Luck

Not through natural mating anyway, waterfowl have long penises, turkeys don't have one at all, just a gland. It would be like a woman trying to get pregnant by sitting on a spot of semen. Theoretically possible, but has never happened

Hahaha they can, but the forks in the stream would confuse most of them, and they'd end up in Detroit.
