If you set turkeys today al you can set chickens in a week and they will hatch together. Just be prepared for a bit longer hatch-i leave eggs 24 extra hours just in case some chickens are slower with 99 in the incubator for hatching.

Came home from work to find babies hatching in the incubator!! :wee:

Looks like about 3 out and another 5 pipped and zipped. After the power outage I thought my hatch would be delayed at least a day. Guess my almost sleepless night stoking the wood stove and putting them in front of it payed off until the generator got started in the morning!! :yippiechickie:

I have a call duck that has been on a nest way out of reach under my porch for about 3 weeks now.....yesterday one of my Columbian Wyandottes decided she wants the nest and chased the duck off ...the duck hid in the bushes and when the hen went to the coop for the night (brat!) the duck went right back on the nest. The same thing happened today when I let the chickens out, if she goes in the coop again tonight I will nab her in the morning and put her in a kennel and start collecting eggs for her!
