OK so that's crazy talk! You are going to lose a few at candling (infertiles, quitters). More chicks will be snugglier in the brooder (made that up). You need a turner well worth it. You need a second without a turner for the hatcher, this is much more convenient to quickly transfer eggs. I tried to convince myself I didn't need a separate hatcher but for me it works!
There you go Sandy - did we help?

I have been debating getting an incubator for a long while now. With my schedule it would have to require little supervision once up and running. I do have a couple broody old Wyandotte crosses that have done the job well, but on their schedule. In the past I've had really good luck with Muscovy's incubating chicken eggs for me as well. Seems that Muscovy hens just need to see a clutch of 2 or more eggs and they go broody.

The longer I keep chickens, the more I like ducks.

Thats when you realize that the 3 small incubators are not enough anymore and you need 1 HUGE one next.
Trust me, I've seen it...
I find that hard to believe!

1) Somewhat
2) Partially
3) Fully............

Well I compared pricing with Berry Hill & Amazon.ca/.com and looks like I'll be stopping in @ Minor Bros tomorrow.
Silly question...Which one is better? Or what's the difference between the two?

I dont know about these but I think the genesis is a better deal. I dont see the egg turner being included though? so definitely buy that as well. its also a great idea to buy another thermometer / hydrometer in order to verify the units accuracy if you dont all ready have some around the house. I use an in / out digital thermometer for fishtanks, a marina its a hagen product, no idea what they call it now adays but same thing. it takes a AAA battery, iv had it for 15 years and none of any of the new indoor outdoor ones iv ever bought through out the last few years are very reliable and take the little pill batterys. this looks like the worst paragraph written in history LOL.
