Have we agreed that coyotes cross with Wolves yet? Hybrid?
A lone one. Head down staring at me. Too big for a coyote and possibly too small for a wolf but a lot of hair and looks like a shaggy mess. I screamed and yelled at it and ran towards it and it took off like a bat out of hell.
All before my first cup of coffee.

Everyone is locked in the pen.
Oh too bad you didn't get a picture, would have loved to see what he looked like. We've had them here but just normal coyotes.

Tomorrow I will have my phone with me just in case. Today I did see 2 foxes as I was out doing errands too. Busy time of year. First time having chickens in the spring.

all right after a tonne of work iv drained about 75% of the water in the coop and run. id sure like to know how it got in the coop... there is a hole but I have half a barrel under it. I think it came in under the door. well I made a bunch of slow slopping rivers and drained it all away. I made a 3 foot long steel punch and went around the entire metal skirt punching holes through it at ground level and above. there must have been at least a foot of water under the rv coop. crazy.

and im proud to say that for the first time in a long time I did not destroy my insulated rubber boots. there a darn good boot. amazing. its always nice to have 2 dry feet. Aggressor from Marks Works warehouse. I was very hesitant to buy expensive boots again although iv never bought boots from there before. and they wernt the $300 boots... around the $100 mark. not bad.

anyways its guna be an early night for me.

Have a good one guys!

Technically the Eastern Coyote species are all Coy wolves, as they developed from crosses between the western coyote and the eastern wolf.

LOL ya the sump is broken somehow so I put a utility pump in which need to be manually turned on... but thankfully nothing can get hurt down there. Jim, you taught me something new today! I have seen many coyotes (ugly things) around here but I have only seen the one deemed "Coy Wolf" and it was the size of a wolf but looked like a fox. He/she was a real beauty. I wish I had my camera at the time. When I described it to my neighbors that is the name they gave me for it.

I just heard that a tornado was spotted near Chatham today... not sure when or where but I bet that was when the water was coming down so fast that it was filling up the boat faster than it could drain.
