Hi Paula!
I did love the EO's and was working with just them.
but, I really missed the Show scene. ( call me crazy) so I wanted a breed that needed a serious breeder to pick them up.
A breed to challenge me.
So the Buckeye has the personality of the EO and I love the look of a proper red bird.
So the breed I found was the Buckeye. This is the breed that sings to my soul!

My Mom moved back to Alberta BUT my brother is still there.
And YES! to another long visit at Timmies! Flying in October.

I have heard that the Buckeyes are very friendly as well and if your into showing they are at least recognized by the APA. The North American Basque Hen Association is working very hard towards getting them accepted hopefully in the near future. Oh I didn't know your Mom moved back to AB, very nice lady. Yes it would be awesome if we could do another meet up at Timmies, the time flew by on our last two visits!! LOL

I am still in touch as to what is happening with the EO's.
Michelle and I are on the CHB board together. and she fills me in as to what is developing.
I hope more people pick up this breed and helps get it recognized through the APA.
It is a wonderful breed!

Good stuff, I didn't know you were on the CHB Board with Michelle. I'll say no more, she has been so instrumental in getting the whole process going for the EO's, she ROCKS!! LOL
