EO good broodies?
Just wondering if the EO hens make good broodies
I was told wyandottes were
Have had them 3 years and they show no interest
Hoping my 2 EO hens I got from Paula want to be mommas!

I really don't know if the EO breed tends toward broodiness, and I only have one hen, so can't really base it on just her. Mine has not shown any interest so far and she's 2 1/2. Hopefully someone who raises more will chime in with their experience.

I hope one of the 2 that I have goes broodie!
I'll have to wait to see what Paula says
Not sure if the hens hatch hers or only incubator

EO good broodies?
My 2 have not been good broodies, broken eggs, left the nest before they hatched. Others might have had better experiences than me though, I only have 2. Silkies and my barred rock banties I have found work the best for me.

EO good broodies?
I have raised them for 6 years and never had one yet, but a couple of my friends have had broodie EO's.

Wow missed this one, LOL No I have had EO's the same time as gubi 6 going on 7 years and never had one go broody. A friend in VA I know has had 1 or 2 go broody but he is the only one I know that has had them.

Haha Paula
Better late reply than never
The only broodie I'm having luck with this year so far is my little Cochin Banty. She can over cover 5 eggs from my regular hens though
This year I'm letting her keep her own eggs. She has 8
Hopefully I'll be delightfully surprised!
