Heard tales of mighty long fights along the st. clair river landing those massive fish from shore, limit is now zero so you can catch n release only. iv never seen anyone targeting them though. one of my buddies whos a diver said hes swam right with them and that were lots of them down there. they come to spawn where lake huron meets up with the st. clair river under the bridges there. pretty cool. the authorities were guna put speed bumps down there to "raise" the naturally low water level, its all a cycle. destroying the spawning grounds. the water level came right back up last year.... glad they didnt do it.

I don't eat shark anymore because of the endangered status of many. Dogfish AKA Rock salmon is OK though. Interestingly off the Carolinas the scallop fishery crashed when the shark population did. The sharks were eating the cow nosed rays and when they weren't eaten they ate more scallops!
