Joe Hutto - Illumination in the Flatwoods

Post by Killerbunny » Sat Dec 18, 2021 9:17 am

This is a truly wonderful book about a naturalist who imprints some young wild turkeys. Also a PBS doc called My Life as a Turkey.
Since I raise turkeys so many of the behaviours are familiar and a lot is explained for me. The illustrations are exceptional.
Also I am a softie a need the tissues sometimes because this book feels personal, sort of Ring of Bright Water but with turkeys which I can relate to more easily.
