Breaking Smith's Quarter Horse by Paul St. Pierre

Book I read years ago and just read again. Takes place in the interior of BC. Good yarn, well written with some good humour. Smith is a rancher and wants the local Indians to break his colt. One of my favorite quotes is from Smith, when someone asks him what is the difference between a ranch and a farm. He thinks for a while and says "Well, a ranch is a farm but far enough away from the neighbors that you have to have your own tom cat."

Farrier1987. South of Chatham on Lake Erie. Chickens, goats, horse, garden, dog, cat. Worked all over the world. Know a little bit about a lot of things. No incubator, broody hens.
