@Happy
Reminded me of when HD retired 15 years ago and we were still doing the "togernes thing" and did the barn chores together, since he is a point A to point B sort of guy and I am Commune with the chickens sort of person, he locked me in the barn and I had to climb over the top of the Dutch doors to get out, it was funny the first time, second time not so much, that was the end of doing chores together thing :doh:

KB's turkey, no cropping needed, pretty pleased with that one. :-)

KB you should call this guy Twinkle Toes!

Every. Darn. Time.

I have taken tens of thousands of pictures, and deleted almost as many. I have hundreds on my phone and computer and in photo albums, and even most of those (that didn't get trashed) make me inwardly groan. I'm pretty sure my subjects see me coming, and know EXACTLY when to move to ruin the shot. I have had a little better luck taking video and extracting stills from that, but my video skills suck too. But here's a picture anyway :laugh:

It seriously doesn't get better than that, no matter how hard I try or what preparations I make.

I like this one because: 1. quail are usually always on the move, and generally don't stop to pose for photos, 2. DH took this photo himself with his free hand, and 3. even though she's facing slightly away, she's almost completely in focus. Also, it gives a pretty good idea of her size - not bad for offspring of regular sized Pharaoh/Wild Type Coturnix quail. She's from a hatch late last year.

I love Oliver. You caught his eye glint which says "I'm watching you" ! With animals and birds if you can get the eye that helps so much. You caught it in the hen too.
Lovely quail Jaye, I had no idea they could be that large.

I think I might have caught him in that crucial moment when he was deciding if he should attack me or romance me ;)

Thanks KB, he's a great boy...it was cold this morning...he never perches. He sat there for a few pictures before getting up.
