Al, are you saying you have a chicken that would stand beside a can full of feed and looked straight ahead ? instead of diving in and offering a profile of headless chicken?? ;)

Testing, testing,
so I thought I would start small and use a cow instead of a chicken as a test subject.
She was very patient, and now I am not sure that adding an extra light made the picture any better ?

OC a trick I used waaaaay back in college photography elective was to wrap a baking sheet with aluminum foil and bounce the light off of it to better light my subject without casting as many shadows. May need two baking sheets-one from each side. Lol this may be a 3 person job!

Never use flash, and as I am checking the pictures, I think I will stick with just the barn light, the flood just seems to have flattened the lovely black spots and made the soulful eyes look a bit evil, also this is probably all the effort I am willing to put in to this. ;)
Now if only the chicken was as easy to pose as the lovely lovely cow. Anybody remember Black Adder?

I'm sure you have a cunning plan to get those chickens to behave!
