Photo booth for the "Ready made" crowd

Post by Ontario Chick » Fri Nov 04, 2016 5:14 pm

I know, ya all are planning to build some architectural marvel, but building a photo booth isn't on my list of things to do before the white stuff flies,
and DH dropped a Michaels Flyer with a 50% OFF coupon in front of me, I figured that might just do the trick.
Once I got past The Crazed Christmas Decor crowd , I found exactly the thing.
ELMERS Tri-fold Foam display Board folds out in to a perfect photo booth. The price of $ 26.99 became much more reasonable with the 50% off, for a grand total of $ 15
Until now my investment was only a purchase of 1 can of pop, (unfortunaly before I read Kenya's post) , soup can just never occurred to me, but now with the $15 investment I am all in, no more dilly dallying ......MUST take pictures :)

For our requirement to have a common object in the picture next to the bird so that @modern17 can judge the size and proportions of the bird.

By the way, this is a MUST requirement. Without it, it's a pretty picture of a very, very pretty bird, but useless for the online show.

Any other object will do, but as @windwalkingwolf pointed out, a heavy object is easier...

Madison, here are the links for more information on the show; how to enter, how to prep your birds for photos, etc.

OC, I did a search on the Michaels website for this tri-fold foam display board and it was listed at $6.99 (WTH?!) Then I realized that I was on the US website: http://www.michaels.com/search?q=tri-fo ... ay%20board
Why on earth would there be such a big price discrepancy between US and Canada for the same item?
Do you think it was priced wrong in the store you went to?

Wow that does sound good, I haven't gotten a good picture yet. It's hard trying to get the soup can in the picture when they tottle on off to a better location.
