well I've never seen a sandhill crane. do they fly in big flocks? they are beautiful. great pic btw Colleen

Not a very good picture Al. But this is a flock of them from last fall
Usually we only see 2-3 flying together
Probably a pair and offspring
They have a very different sound also. Once you've heard it you will always know it is a sandhill crane
