Nice looking birds! Looks like you have a bunch of pullets, lucky you. They are great birds. I've tried to raise them. But they keep getting taken out by hawks and owls.

What is a Joan Jet hen?
Isn't she lovely? i swear they should recognize "chicken therapy". I have so much sadness in my life right now, but just a half hour with a chicken on my shoulder and my heart fills with delight.

Thank you! I hope one of them is a roo! Maybe I can raise more and give you a couple! They have the sweetest personalities.
I have a fenced chicken yard with trees. Apparently raptors that swoop to pick up prey can't deal with closed spaces and obstacles.

Joan Jet is a rock singer: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joan_Jett
I spelled her name wrong.
Your chickens must be small; mine are too big to be on my shoulder. I'm glad that you find your hens delightful! I find that my hens are a hoot.

I keep voting female for this one, and two others, but I'm not sure my votes are registering. So I'll comment :) I think it's a pullet.

I'd love a couple I think you may have 1 roo in the bunch. Take a look at molted houndan...they are great birds as well. Let us know what you end up with!
