Euskal Oiloas AKA Basque Chickens

This rare breed is from the Basque area of Spain and are know for their extremely friendly nature and curiosity. They are decent layers of large to extra large brown eggs. Have been breeding them for the past 7 years with my goal towards SOP.

Beauties, they look like a Victorian painting, or a children's book illustration.

Thanks Stefan, I can't take credit for him. I got him from Kathy B after "K" passed. Have a few eggs in the incubator right now from him so am looking forward to some of his offspring.
Carl is still going strong with his girls, here is a recent picture of him. Sorry barn shots, will be glad when I can get them outside.
