Ok so I really don’t neeeedd any more chickens buuuut I only have one white egg layer hen (Ancona) and she is almost 8 and not laying that much any longer. Sooo I am on the look out for some Ancona chicken hatching eggs. I know I could probably find white leghorns in my area but I really do like the mottled look of the Anconas and the offspring I have had from this old hen have been nice additions to my flock. She is still in good health and one of the best danger alarms in the whole flock.
I am preferring to stay within an hours drive of Guelph (may be open to shipped eggs) and not looking for eggs before mid April.
Might also be interested in Exchequer or brown leghorns hatching eggs if all else fails ... just no white chickens.
Thanks for any input.
