Looking for 1-3 quality (Black) Jersey Giant rooster or cockerel. I'm near Brockville but willing to travel for the right boy(s). If you know someone who may have a nice male to spare, feel free to pass on my number and have them text me with pictures. PM for phone number or e-mail address.
Thank you!

Re: Jersey Giant
Bumping this, because I'm still looking. I'll even take unsexed chicks at this point. If anyone nearby plans to attend any sales/ auctions, etc., and is able to find/buy a half decent one for me, let me know, I will pay for your time and trouble. If you source me a cock that I ultimately buy, I'll give you a finders' fee The only ones I've been able to find nearby are hatchery stock, wrong eye colour and usually wrong or very poor foot colour, very undersized and quite ugly. Most of that I can deal with, but undersized I just don't have the time or the patience to breed them up, so my main criteria is that he has to be BIG or from big stock.
I have run out of time to travel all over hell's half acres looking at birds that turn out to be crappy, small, hatchery quality.
If you can find me not just one, but TWO breeder quality (or better) cockbirds, I will love you forever

Re: Jersey Giant
Kelli Carder near Cookstown had some excellent JG's a few years back. I don't know if she's still breeding them but it might be worthwhile contacting her.
Edit to include that Kelli also breeds very nice chocolate Muscovey's :)

The longer I keep chickens, the more I like ducks.
