Mini Barn or All-season coop

Post by patti » Thu Jul 21, 2016 11:09 am

Your location: Dunnville, ON
Price: $1500.00+
Description
Hi - I'm looking for a used or newly constructed mini barn to add to our property. Our last raccoon attack almost completed killed my flock with just one Silkie and one Mille d'Fleur being spared. My hens had been staying in one of those portable garages (approx. 16' long by 12') wide with extra wood sides for safety but the coons found a way to get in underneath it. I'm not ready to gamble with the lives of any more precious hens until I find a much safer and more secure coop for them. Does anyone know of someone selling a mini barn and likes to build structures in their free time? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :help: :hands:[/i][/i][/i][/i][/i]

Im very, very sorry to hear about your flock!

I dont know for sure but we do have a member on here that may be able to help. MarkVDBG, M&S Poultry. He did have a very well built coop available for sale in the past that he bult. brand new, unused, solid barnboard construction and beautiful. hes outside Hamilton but cant quite remember where.

heres his profile... not an active member but wont hurt to contact him n find out. p.s. i would email him rather than PM him as he has a hotmail account and pesky hotmail is still flagging our emails as spam...

You may also want to check out Amish Sheds, I know people who use them as chicken coop and really like them.

It's funny that you mentioned the shed from M&S because I am the one that bought that one last year. It is a great shed but I bought it for my hubby hoping he would want to put the hens in there, but he said it was too nice for that and he filled it with tools. This time i am looking for a shed (or coop) for me instead so I can keep my feathered friends safe. I may contact M&S again to see if they can make one a little bigger unless someone else on the forum knows someone else. I will also check out the Amish sheds because I see they sell kits which may bring the price down a bit. Thanks for the suggestions so far.
