Free bantam roosters this spring

Post by Ktclark » Tue Jan 14, 2020 10:48 am

I ordered 6 bantam chicks from Performance Poultry. Some of them will be roosters but I don't know which ones because bantam chicks aren't sold sexed because of how tiny they are. They will hatch mid to late April. These are the breeds I ordered:

Silver laced Cochin
Gold laced Cochin
Mottled Cochin
Mille fleur d'Uccle
Barred rock
Blue laced red Wyandotte

I should be able to tell if they will be roosters when they are about a month old, maybe longer for the wyandotte but I definitely will need them gone before they crow since I live in the city and am only allowed to keep 5 hens.

They are good to have as pets, breeders, pest control, or to protect your hens from predators.

Hit me up when you're ready to part with some and we can talk, there's some breeds there I'd love to have a rooster or two of!
