By the way everybody, this stuff is GREAT to use in your garden to keep weeds down...I used it last year (black side down). I cut holes for the seeds/plants, and at the end of the season, pull plants and roll up the tarp, use it year after year! Almost zero weeding!

WWW..i did that last year with a large utility tarp..it worked for the one season but those utility tarps ( i.e. the green or blue ones you see everywhere) don't handle sunlight well and break down...I am assuming that the bale tarps are of a material that is fine under glaring sunshine...i ended up picking up hundreds of pieces of fractured tarp..all brittle and a right pain in the derriere...but the idea is great..

these ones do disintegrate over time, but usually a few years.....if i don't find a buyer it WILL go in my garden.....come spring....
i have 2 other pieces of plastic (white/black) from bayvistafarm (old silage plastic) that are wonderful too.
the cheap ones (the blue or green ones) just disintegrate too fast....
