Anyone Willing to Give to Science?

Post by Chicken Ninja » Thu Mar 24, 2016 4:38 pm

I'm working on a mini research project with a vet for my highschool co-op program. My chosen research topic has to do with, you guessed it, chickens. I'm studying fauna populations in a chicken's gut.

I'm looking for 4-5 live chickens from different sources, complete with a list of what you feed them. I'm willing to pay and pick up. Here's the rub... I can't study gut fauna unless it's through a necropsy of a recently deceased bird. So if you sell me some chickens for this, they'll be :rip: . Gone to greener pastures, kicked the bucket, in the big coop in the sky, chicken dinner, :big chicken: etc...

If you or anyone you know would like to be a part of this, just pm me, or reply here.

Go for something big that would look nice on the table.

I have 3 leghorn kids-14 weeks old now i think-that would be useless on the table...all boys....you could have a complete replica n=3 from me...free if you pick them up. They are only on pelletted grower feed. Commercial diet. So if you find some free rangers from somewhere you could even compare commercial pellet diet to free range-if you can get an n=3 from somewhere else free ranging.

If either of you are going to Mount Forest, I would gladly help pay for gas costs!

I have a special needs Silkie that, by my guess, has been pecked senseless by the roosters morning 'get the heck out of my coop' peck.

I don't know where Creemore is.
