Hahaha, nothing to do with natural history, it should have been titled "a brief very recent history of crazy chicken people"! But I enjoyed it anyway, especially the silkie mom that took one for the team...I was yelling at the guy who saw things were awry, and was just standing there watching out his windows, to get his stupid ass out there and protect his chickens LOL

I can't remember where but there was a superb Brit doc on chickens and recent history must try to find it.

Not entirely related, but last week on an Escape to the Country episode they visited a poultry breeder/judge. She has 150 bantams, mostly Pekins. They showed her bathing a Champion mottled Pekin hen in her kitchen sink, and discussed how she would prepare her for a show.
