Thinking about raising Sheep for meat

Forum rules
As per Ferrier1987: You are supposed to post pictures when you post about your baby goats. Its a rule here. I just made it up as a rule, but its now part of the forum rules I have decided.

I think it depends on your area. I was going to get some and found it was cheaper to buy one from our local butcher (grass raised and well cared for)

Sheep: i understand that the value of wool is basically the money paid to the shearer. Do you buy the meat now? Raise what you like to eat. I will get small cattle (i.e. lowline angus) in the future. Less hassle than sheep, and very suitable to a small acreage. http://m.sevendaysvt.com/vermont/could- ... id=2244031
