Couple more baby goats
Well Butterfly finally came forth. She is just a year and a couple weeks, and had twins. Boy and girl. I was wondering how she would do at mothering, so young, but no worries. Licked them clean, talked to them, nudged them back to feed. Just wonderful I figure.
So the little boy, black and white, going to be named Kentucky, born on Kentucky derby day. And the girl, looks white in the pics, but will turn out to be a little bit buckskin as she grows. Named her Sunny. Always liked that Ron Hynes song Sonny's Dream, and seems to fit her, but with a u.
The old goat in the pic is me, Kentucky is getting cuddled a little. Heart medicine.
Got hens setting. garden is a work in progress, wife made rhubarb pie today. Life is good.

Hey you old goat.....thanks for sharing!!
They are lovely!!
Good job with your husbandry.
Butterfly looks happy in that pic with the babys.
speaking of the derby, wasn't Nyquis' run beautiful? Could be a triple crown contender. Not bad fer a canuck horse.
