Apple Sauce

Post by SarniaTricia » Mon Sep 28, 2020 3:03 pm

We were blessed with an apple tree when we moved in June.
The tree wasn't sprayed, but has a lot of great(not buggy) apples.
We did a small batch of apple sauce last night..... It was so very much easier then my last time making apple sauce to can.... Here is what we did:

I have one of those super cool apple peeler, slicer, corer machines..... ran all the apples through that, cut in six and put in the instant pot with 3 cups of water and two tbsp. of my cinnamon roll mix (1c brown sugar, 1 tbsp+ cinnamon, 1/4 tsp ginger, 1/4 tsp nutmeg and 1/4 tsp cloves) put the pot on for 10 minute high pressure cook.

Then jarred into 500ml sterilized jars and processed 15mintues in a water bath.
I have many more batches to do as I only got 6 jars from this batch.
