Thanks; I also add vinegar to water when putting jars in a water bath or using the pressure canner.
I was referring to blanching beans and greens for freezing; that is when I get the residue around the pot at the water line. It happens after blanching a few batches.
Since then, I have found that to clean it, I use my CAERAN All-Purpose Cleaner and some baking soda. It works really well.
