New Dog!
Re: New Dog!
Here's a picture of Amber in the fall leaves, taken during that glorious, summerlike, very un-November-like weather. She's stolen our hearts :).

Re: New Dog!
Killerbunny Oh yes! I often called our other girl Chloe Puppy, so Poppy had her name changed to Amber. She didn't care and it took no time to make the switch - as long as she gets some attention she's happy :).

Funny that, mine will come to anything as long as there’s a treat involved. What a beauty!

Re: New Dog!
We really lucked out with Amber. I came down with the flu two weeks ago and felt too weak to take the dogs for walks or to continue with Amber's training. Hubby walked them once a day, and they were let out whenever they wanted to run around the garden. They were both amazing. Not hyperactive, not demanding, just well-behaved and calm. They slept a lot! Chloe is 11 years old, so it's expected. Amber is only a year old and we are grateful to have such a good pup :)

Re: New Dog!
That is so good to hear, it's amazing how intuitive these animals are.
I was house sitting in New Mexico with a border collie several years ago, broke a tooth, had to have a bit of a dramatic extraction with way too much pain killers, lied down on a couch and said to the dog, sorry pet I am totally out and she lied down beside the couch and I slept for 12 hours, and I don't think he ever moved.
