New Dog!
New Dog!
Introducing Poppy. She's a 7 month old fox-red Labrador Retriever who we think is labradorable :). She gets along well with our older girl, Chloe.
Thanks to Ontario Chick for helping me to make the decision to get a puppy!

Re: New Dog!
She's surprisingly calm for a puppy, but it's early days yet and they say it takes at least 3 weeks for them to really settle in. We've only had her for two days, so she could be lulling us into a false sense of security!

Re: New Dog!

Based on my experience of taking in older dogs, we used to call it the "honeymoon period" of about 2-3 weeks, when the dog is somewhat quiet, reading the situation and observing who is in charge, who can be bamboozled in to extra treats, and whos' "commands" are really only a suggestion ...to be followed only when convenient

I know you are an experienced dog owner, we will need more pics and updates, how "your" training is going

Congrats! Soulful eyes! Beautiful!

Give her some time she will do at least a few thousand dollars damage

My Hubby would be "follow when convenient" and "give treats"
I'm "toss veges while cooking dinner"

Fox red lab is what I grew up with. Watch the Christmas tree ornaments and that tail.
