Basically Kenya like Lupas , extreme allergic reaction to himself , , inside trying to eat his outside , which in turn turned him mentally into a raving idiot ready to kill anything / everyone . In spring & summer also on reactine .Luck

The vet gave a refill on the Prednisone. 1/4 tablet a day until he is back together and then maintenance after that with withdrawal in mind.

Good stuff JP . We tried maintenance but didn't work for our guy . We're back on 1/4 tablet a day . Figure rest of his life however long that is . At least it's a better life for him . No use livin if it ain't worthwhile. Luck

Thanks. I believe he is feeling fine and the skin muscles around the neck are working again.

He has been an expensive dog for us but he is great with kids and is a good companion..... I am glad Prednisone is a relatively cheap fix.

Update on the dog,

His issues have flared up again...and his legs have flared out. Monday he pulled something while running outside. The Prednisone is slowly getting him back together. Another problem over the past month has been his nose. He has been sneezing and sometimes his nose gets runny and has a faint pink colour to it. I am thinking an inflammation of some sort or an infected tooth/sinus but other than that his temperament is excellent. Usual appetite and thirst.

I want to avoid vet visits as they are $$$ and he is getting older.

There are pet med websites like http://mydoghasfleas.xyz/ that have just about anything you need. Thanks for the update. It's never easy with an elderly or special needs dog, but always worth it.
