I must say I feel a bit guilty acquiring a GR and not planning to work her in any way, although this isn't a true working strain, I am starting to feel it's either I will find a jog for her or she will find a job for me, so far it's 50 / 50 ;)

Ha ha! OC. Looks like a Freudian slip on the jog for her and the job for you :). I suggest a jog for you both at least once a day (although I personally hate jogging).

Too funny, never noticed that, as you say Freudian slip :)
So far we are mainly "toddling" but it is true that the pups get more tired by mental challenge then physical, now that I think of it, so do I ;)

Addy at 16 weeks, starting obedience classes next week, since I have been training our dogs for past 50 years, it's going to be a hard slog for me, I am sure Addy will be just fine as long as I don't confuse her ;)

Ha ha! Good luck with that! You do know that obedience classes are to train the hoomin dontcha?

I spent years reading all I could about how to train dogs, as well as attending numerous training classes yet our dogs have trained us well and always get what they want whenever they want it - sigh!

Absolutely right @labradors , people training is going very well here too

Meanwhile Addy is proving to be great help in the garden and taking care of some of the bean overflow ...

What a sweetie little Addie is!

Happy you are so right that they get jealous of the chickens. I hold kale leaves for the chickens to nibble on, and the dogs come along and try to steal the thick stems! Yesterday, Abbey even picked her own piece of kale from the garden. I don't mind because I planted tons of it.

She looks so cute though. Summer always wants to go and help put the chickens in, she thinks it's hilarious when she chases them the opposite direction I want them to go and I have to chase them around the bushes.
