so looking at their website they don't diagnose tooth problems, just clean them.....i wonder how they do it, because my lab would eat all the equipment i'm 100% sure! or at least chew on it for a while....and slobber everywhere.
Sorry, somehow I missed your comment ... yes, that's correct, they don't diagnose, they clean. Although the woman we were talking to prior to the cleaning said that if they notice something obviously not right during cleaning, they would let us know that a vet's visit is advisable.
I'm really not sure how they do it, but I do appreciate that they would not have the pet's focus if the owners were present to observe. Aiden wasn't the least bit uneasy around her afterwards, so I took that as a pretty good indication that he didn't mind how he was handled at all.
And yeah, lab puppies do like to chew and try to eat everything, don't they? I'm not sure how that would go ... ;-)

$199 plus tax, so a bit more expensive than what my dentist charges me to get my teeth cleaned, but SO worth it, IMHO. Especially considering that the vet was going to charge me $1400, and put him under general anesthetic. He did not do well when we had to have him neutered: When he was waking up afterwards, apparently he was going ballistic in the post-op cage they had him in, and only settled down when Ron came to pick him up and was able to go in and see him. Also I think that the after effects of general anesthetic take awhile to shake off. I know that I personally have taken at least 2 weeks to feel right again after surgery.

Yes I'd pay that price anyday over 1400.00.

Just wanted to share this with those of you who are interested in an alternative to a vet office/ general anesthesia procedure for cleaning teeth.
