both, but only the cat will learn.....Killerbunny wrote: ↑Wed Jul 25, 2018 6:34 pmShe won't have any if I have anything to do with it. Still trying to find a rescue that will take her.
BTW I'm using the spray bottle method for training her to stay off the counters. Question for all you experienced trainers, do I spray the cat, DH or both?

When we took in a stray, he's name is Wilson and the best cat ever. He used to take the food off of my fork as I was putting it in my mouth. It gets better when they realize there is actually an endless supply of food! Sounds like she is settling in nicely. Congrats!

She is very nice indeed but we really can't keep her, she's very young and a lot to handle. Our previous stray, Muppet, was an older boy and promptly took to the couch and stayed there LOL!

You know, Vian is going to want a signed contract to secure his visitation rights when she goes to a new home!

You know you need a cat KB. Cats choose you for a reason. Give in. When we got our first cat, we were quite adamantly Not cat people. Somehow it was not possible to resist. Having no experience with cats, we raised it like a dog. Except for the first day when we left it locked in a bathroom while we went to the library to get a book about how to teach it to use a litter box. Of course we came back and found it had used the litter box, so we let it teach us from there. He came with us camping, went for rides in the car, shopping, vacations, took baths without complaint, played fetch, walked on a leash, answered and came when called. He wanted to be a hunter, but we lived in the city, so he brought us a sausage off the neighbour's hibachi, or (ulp) the neighbour's canary. Subsequent cats have been successively more cat-like just as we have become more cat-people-like. Our lives would have been poorer had we said no to that cat. What have you named her?
OC beat me to it. Only the cat will learn. LOL

Re: Calico? cat
Anyone know if I can use something to worm her without gong to the vet? I'm sure she must be loaded.
Oh and BTW Vian has named her Cartel.

Re: Calico? cat
piperazine will worm roundworms.....
praziquantal will also work for tapeworms (look for a horse paste called equimax or quest horse wormer-moxidentin)- you just need to get the correct dose figured out.
if you buy the horse wormer it takes a TINY bit for a cat! and it's done by weight so make sure to weight her too....
